Here are our favorite dog-friendly places to go in the MetroWest area:
Eddie’s Park
Natick, MA
Eddie’s Park is right up the street from Boston West! This spacious fenced-in dog park located on the Middlesex Path opened in 2020 and is such a great addition to Natick. Some of our own Boston West veterinary staff were involved in building it (so you know it’s good!)
Cushing Memorial Park
Framingham, MA
This park was once a military hospital site. Now it’s a beautiful dog-friendly park with paved walking paths, picnic tables, war memorials, and lots of wide open grass.
Cochituate Rail Trail
Natick–Framingham, MA
Although on the shorter side, this scenic bike path runs from Framingham to Natick. Bring your pup for a scenic walk, skate, or bike ride. It’s absolutely beautiful in the fall!
South Natick Dam Park
Natick, MA
A waterfall in the MetroWest? Sort of! The South Natick Dam is a great place to walk your dog, photograph, or just sit at one of the benches and take in the beauty.
Ashland State Park
Ashland, MA
A 3-mile loop around the Ashland Reservoir that is perfect for hikers & swimmers alike! Swimming is allowed for dogs in the off-season at this gorgeous trail.
Callahan State Park
Framingham, MA
7 miles of trails will keep you and your pup exploring! There’s usually lots of dogs to play with at the dog park, and even a beach to cool off at with a swim.
Cat Rock Park
Weston, MA
This popular spot is an off-leash park with a swimming pond, plenty of open spaces for fetch, and shady hiking trails. It’s considered a dog paradise by many locals!
Cochituate State Park
Natick, MA
Another great spot for water-loving pooches in the off season! Lake Cochituate And Snake Brook Trail will make for a fun, easy walk and place to cool off.
